The travelling exhibition offers a first-time and diverse insight into publishing processes in the Baltic States between the two world wars and gives an unprecedented opportunity to discover the repertoire of publications in the three Baltic States in the 1920s and 30s (original writings and translations, academic, popular science, informative and specialist publications, publications for ethnic-minority communities, textbooks and children’s literature), highlighting the innovation within this period, links with the traditions of national publishing and topical trends in global publishing. The exhibition has been organised by the National Libraries of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in partnership with the University of Vilnius and the University of Tallinn.
