Estonia’s first poetry festival | EV100

You are welcome to participate in the kickoff of Estonia 100 Grand Celebration Week in Rakvere, where Estonia’s first ever poetry festival takes place on 17 August!

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia, Rakvere Castle will be filled with Estonian poetry. The poems date back to four different periods and the best of them will be read by nearly 30 beloved Estonian actors and public persons.
At the festival, nearly 100 different works will be performed which form an integral whole with a visual show.

Pille-Riin Purje has selected the poems from the first period of independency of Estonia; Toomas Suuman picked the best works by Soviet and foreign Estonian authors; Tiina Mälberg picked poems written during the regaining of independence until today; and Üllar Saaremäe chose works from the awakening period.

Buy a ticket to the unprecedented poetry festival from Piletilevi.

After the end of the poetry festival, there will be a concert to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Punk Song Festival. You can access both events with the same ticket.

See you in Rakvere!
