During one-week residency invited artists will create workshop activities, artistic-research related to biosemiotics, site specific installations in natural settings using eco-friendly materials combined with electronic communications. Dance students will also work on performances inspired by the location.

DaMa is part of Nordic / Baltic networks of higher level Dance education institutions and New Media education institutions. It organizes annual courses, exchanges and workshops which take place in Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia and/or Lithuania. http://medialappi.net/dama/

Pixelache Helsinki is an association of artists, cultural producers, thinkers and activists involved in the creation of emergent and experimental cultural activities. Amongst their fields of interest are: experimental interaction and electronics, renewable energy production/use, audiovisual culture, media literacy & ecology and engaging environmental issues. Pixelache contributes to Toortuumik as part of its BioSignals project about site-specific sound art, narrations and nature-based data streams by human and non-human cultural producers during Summer-Autumn 2018. Maalabor

MTÜ Maalabori eesmärk on rikastada Eesti kultuurivälja kunsti- ja haridusprogrammidega, mis pakuvad nii tegijatele kui osavõtjatele rõõmu, uusi teadmisi, oskusi ning aitab luua tugevat sotsiaalvõrgustikku kogukondade ja asutuste vahel. Eesmärk on algatada koostööprojekte, et viia läbi nii väiksemale kui suuremale avalikkuse ringile suunatud sündmusi, mis kaasavad lapsi, noori, loodusteadlasi, ornitolooge, kunstnikke jne. Perifeersetele aladele rajatav, kuid oma vaadete poolest kaasaegsesse maailma sobituv kunsti- ja hariduskeskus Maalabor võtab arvesse looduskeskkona eripärad, piirkonna iseärasused ja oma kandi inimesed. Ühing seab suurt rõhku looduse loomuliku koosluse säilitamisele ning looduskaitsealase teadlikkuse tõstmisele. Tulevikku vaadates näeme Virtsu rannikul aastaringselt tegutsevat kunstnike residentuurikeskust, mis pakub majutust ning tagab kunstnikele ligipääsu hästi varustatud töökojale loometeoste valmistamiseks. Eesmärk on leida võimalus peahoone ehitamiseks, puurkaevu rajamiseks ning põhivajadusi rahuldava tuule- ja/või päikeseenergial toimiva elektrijaama soetamiseks.
