• Preview of Estonian design in London

    From 14 to 24 September, in the frame of the London Design Festival, the exhibition ‘Size Doesn’t Matter’ is being displayed at the Oxo Tower Wharf Gallery. Estonian design has been previously exhibited in London, but this time the show is more comprehensive and contains a number of new products. The event is part of an international programme dedicated to the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.

    The streets of Pasila now host some quirky characters from about a hundred years ago, brought to life by a mysterious street artist, Edward von Lõngus and augmented reality technologies. The (R)estart Reality art project takes Lõngus on tour all over Europe to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his home country, Estonia, who also holds the EU presidency for the second half of 2017.

Estonian Presidency of the Council of EU

Presidency main task is to represent the Council and defend the achieved agreements in negotiations with the European Commission and the Parliament within six months. Estonia will be holding the presidency of the EU Council for the first time in the second half of 2017.
