25 young journalists visit Estonia in honour of its centenary | EV100

Over the past three years, 75 young journalists have come to Estonia on a study tour organised by the Estonia 100 organising committee in conjunction with the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the beginning of August, another 25 journalists selected with the assistance of Estonia’s embassies around the world took part in this initiative.

This year’s participants represented a diverse range of countries including Australia, Austria, Denmark, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the US.

The young journalists learned about Estonia’s domestic, foreign and security policies, and the E-Estonia digital society project, and also met with representatives of local start-up companies. The study tour included trips to Tartu and Narva, and meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Mikser.
