According to Margus Kasterpalu, director of Estonia 100’s major events, the Estonia 100 film program covers every genre of the Estonian film industry. „It’s a great pleasure, that a bona fide television series has been completed for the centenary year,“ Kasterpalu said.
He added that four years ago, the drama series stood out from among the others competing, because of its exciting subject matter. „In recent years, the subject of the 1990s has become even more prominent and I’m sure people will warmly welcome the series,“ Kasterpalu said.
At the heart of the series are events in a bank, whose activities have a significant impact on the well-being of all the people in the country. At the beginning of the 1990s, Toomas arrives at the bank and begins a dazzling career. Together with the bank’s executives Ülle and Kalju, they make their way through economic crises towards a higher goal. But inevitably conflicts arise with rivals, work interferes with human relationships, and all of the characters face major choices.
