The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir performs at the world-renowned music festival Sagra Musicale Umbra in Perugia, Italy.

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is well-known abroad for its interpretations of Arvo Pärt’s music. This time the programme combines masterpieces by two geniuses of different periods, Johann Sebastian Bach and Arvo Pärt. Their music is performed together with the festival orchestra at the Sagra Musicale Umbra in Basilica di San Francesco in Assisi, Perugia.

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) is the Estonia’s best-known professional music group abroad. Its repertoire ranges from Gregorian Chant to the 21st century music, focusing on Estonian music (Veljo Tormis, Arvo Pärt etc).

The choir gives 60–70 concerts per season and tours regularly in Europe and the United States, giving concerts at such famous venues as the Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House, Wiener Konzerthaus, Carnegie Hall, the Walt Disney Concert Hall etc. The EPCC has worked with famous conductors and orchestras including Claudio Abbado, Marc Minkowski, Sir Colin Davis, Gustavo Dudamel; London Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Salzburg Camerata, Philip Glass Ensemble, Los Angeles Philharmonic etc.

The EPCC recordings (for labels ECM, Carus, Harmonia Mundi) have won several prizes including two Grammy Awards. The EPCC was founded in 1981 by Tõnu Kaljuste, who was followed by Paul Hillier and Daniel Reuss. Since the year 2014 the chief conductor has been Kaspars Putniņš.
