Today we celebrate Estonia's 100th anniversary of independence | EV100

“Estonia’s centenary, our united day of celebration, is at hand,” Jaanus Rohumaa, Head of the Organising Committee of Estonia 100 said. “Estonians can sometimes seem to have a northerly chilly demeanour, but on an occasion as important as today, we could heed the call to action of our beloved conductor. Let’s give the people we care about the gift of a hug tonight at 20:18.”

According to Margus Kasterpalu, Head of Estonia 100 major events at the Government Office, we have reached the pinnacle of the centenary week. “The story of the birth of the  Estonian nation has not been an easy one, but therefore we can feel all the more proud of our state.
